Performance
The 2020 Ford Edge Titanium is a joy to drive. We loved the responsiveness, and how well it hugged the road. The vehicle is heavy, but there was no hesitation when accelerating. Its 4-cylinder engine brings with it 250 horsepower. The braking is compliant, and our model comes with All Wheel Drive. Pretty strong, I thought. It accelerated crisply when asked to, and the handling was stable, and brakes were quite effective without being overly sensitive.
Fuel Economy
21 City/23 Combined and 28 Highway The Edge gets 23 miles per gallon overall, 21 city and 28 highway.

It takes 4.3 gallons of gasoline to drive 100 miles. You will spend $1,250 more in fuel costs over five years compared to the average new vehicle. Your annual fuel cost will be about $1,750 a year over five years, based on driving 15,000 miles per year at $2.70 a gallon gasoline.
The Vehicle
The 2020 Ford Edge is a winner. It was driven in the city on brick cobblestone roads as well as tight, normal roads, and then drove out in the country on the freeway We loved, loved, loved driving this smooth vehicle with its ride that impeccably handles the road so smoothly in any weather condition. This two-row SUV that seats 5, has a quiet cabin. It has super front comfortable seats that recline back for the front passenger to take a catnap. The back seats are fairly comfortable, but there is a drop off.

The 180 camera in this model is really quite helpful for seeing from different POV. In our hi-end Titanium model there is a lot of plastic being used. The layout and ergonomics are designed to a T with no reaching for driver or passenger. Space and legroom are winners in the 2020 Ford Edge, as well as the ease and configuration of the split-folding seats. We were able to put to good use by making a last-minute trip to a major home improvement store purchase 10 forty-pound bags of mulch and dirt with lots of room to spare.

There is some heavy competition in this category with the Subaru Outback, Honda Passport, Hyundai Santa Fe and others. The Edge is a strong contender with its reputation, value and longevity; a car to put on your test drive list.
To be honest, though Ford has a pretty strong lineup of SUVs that are strong sellers, none of them have a sense of charisma or design interest about them. But that's why style, personality and presentation are strong points for the Edge. With its muscular profile and ambiance, its aggressively forward roofline, and its menacing grille, the Edge let's everyone around you know that you have vehicular swagger. And that's something you can't say about many other SUVs. But the Edge is practical, too. It is so stable and rugged that it delivers utter security when riding in it. Never once did the car feel unstable or uncomfortable, nor did I ever experience poor handling.

Ford's Edge is a sporty, stylish mid-sized SUV for those who are looking for some dash, individuality, and enticing design in their wheels, rather than simply buy yet another boxy, anonymous SUV. You can seat five people in it quite comfortably, and we suspect it would be a dandy ride if used for long distance trips.

And unlike some other brands, the Edge's model lineup versions all have unique personality, styling and interior touches. The 2020 Ford Edge is a midsize SUV that can seat five. You can have yours equipped with all wheel or front wheel drive--choice is up to you.

The SE is your entry level model but calm down--it's still pretty classy looking and won't give away its role as a starter Edge. If there are just a few items you want to add, you might want to look at the SEL model. If you want a really tough looking, built for speed Edge, you will surely want to see the cool ST version, especially those in s shade of electric blue with black-painted wheels.

Jump up a few notches to tour gorgeous test model: The Titanium. Your standard equipment list starts with everything that is found on the SEL along with 19-inch wheels, noise-reducing front windows, front parking sensors, the hands-free liftgate, a heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, front sport seats, ambient cabin lighting, and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system. Options include the SEL's safety suite, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and an automated parking system.
Aesthetics & Styling
The new 2020 Ford Edge looks edgy and well-appointed from the outside in, especially with those 20" polished aluminum wheels. The spaciousness is one thing, but we especially like what the designers did. This mid-sized SUV has a "tone" and a "tude" about it with the stylish appointments up an upmarket vehicle. If the FORD logo wasn't so visibly placed, it could easily pass for a LINCOLN brand. The deep, two-tone leather has a cultivate feel on the inside. Lots of technology and safety features on this vehicle. Great Infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. No more CD player - gone!

While this car is spacious enough on the inside with almost 40 cubic feet of packing space behind the rear seats and just shy of 74 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down, this is just a tad smaller for the classification. A slightly annoying feature was the rear seats did not fold flat.

The Ford Edge is manufactured in Ontario, Toronto.
The Edge is one tough looking set of wheels, with a brawny stance, subtly blistered fenders and an aggressive looking grille as well. It sure beats the heck out of the sea of sameness that we find in mainstream SUVs, Other than Edge and perhaps Toyota RAV4 and the Chevrolet Blazer, you have to spend quite the numbers of thousands of dollars to afford more elegant, eye-catching SUVs like Lexus, Lincoln and Cadillac.

Inside, we loved the gorgeous burgundy and gray/black seating throughout the Edge, it was very expensive looking, with good quality materials -- and very, very comfortable! There also was plenty of room inside the Edge, and there also was a decent amount of luggage space around back.
