| Dodge brings to life an uber, muscular creation all in it's own category. They have designed literally the highest performance all-wheel drive SUV sporting a 6.4 liter Hemi V8 engine which produces 475 horsepower. You can hear this SUV from down the street-which is the intention, naturally. This powerhouse has 7 drive modes (really!) and this year, Dodge lowered the suspension, making this the coolest to drive. We happened to have it in nearly sub-zero temperatures so churning up and down the many cobblestone roads as well as bypassing many on the snow-filled highways was effortless. | It puts out 475 horsepower, accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 4.4 hair-raising seconds, and well..what else is there to say?
I honestly can't think of anything that even comes close in this price that comes close to the barnstorming, bravado performance that you get in the 2018 Durango SRT 392, a muscled full throated performance SUV that will make your socks roll up and down, raise hairs on the back of your neck and echo thunderously in your ears. |

| The Vehicle | |
| This vehicle is only understood by a few. Look, it's a muscle car with an SUV cabin. The Dodge Durango SRT is a winner, but doesn't get enough of the credit it deserves because it gets classified into an already existing categorty "Large SUV." Its power and handling, cargo and packing space and towing capacity are in its own league. The Durango gets top scores with the infotainment system - as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the rearview camera on an 8.4" display are all standard. This vehicle feels like first class all the way. We love the cabin and the comfort of the seats. Even for a big vehicle, the drive and passenger seats fit women's smaller frames nicely and will appreciate the customization. The second-row captain's chairs are stately and there is a rear DVD entertainment center with Blu-Ray compatible dual screen video available to these passengers. The third row comfortably holds 2 passengers. We brought home two oversized tables and were effortlessly able to put in back due to the easy in reconfiguring and the rambler Captain's Chairs; easily restore back again into seats for passengers with just a nudge. |
Wow. What can I say? In a class by itself. Sure, you can get other big SUVs that will provide similar amounts of room, luxury, comfort and a lot of other good stuff. But the image, performance and swagger provided by the Durango SRT 392? Uh....no. |

You get that 6.4-liter V8 engine (475 hp, 470 lb-ft), performance-tuned steering, an adaptive suspension, electronically controlled limited-slip differential, SRT Performance Pages (various configurable performance parameters), and a driver's session at the SRT Track Experience driving school.
If you want to add more stuff to your Durango SRT 392 order, consider a sunroof, upgraded Laguna leather upholstery, the rear entertainment system, the SRT Interior Appearance Group (includes carbon-fiber accents and soft-touch headliner) and the Technology Group. Of course, not everybody's ready for this big boy. Don't fret--there are other versions of the Durango that are available. They include: First, know that you can get all wheel drive at optional cost, while the SRT only comes in all-wheel drive. For Durango, seven-passenger seating is standard, while second-row captain's chairs (reducing capacity to six) are optional. If you need to prioritize cargo over passengers, you can order the base SXT with just two rows of seats. The other trims are three-row only. Standard equipment on the SXT includes a 3.6-liter, 293 horsepower V6 engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Other standard features include 18-inch alloy wheels, a load-leveling rear suspension, heated mirrors, a rearview camera, keyless ignition and entry, three-zone climate control, a 60/40-split folding and reclining second-row seat, a 50/50-split folding third-row seat with power-folding headrests (or alternatively, an option to delete the third-row seat) and cloth upholstery. Technology features include Bluetooth phone connectivity, a 7-inch touchscreen interface, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, dual USB ports and a six-speaker sound system. Step up to the GT and the standard stuff also includes 20-inch wheels, a power liftgate, rear parking sensors, remote start, heated front and second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, power-adjustable front seats, leather and suede upholstery, a 115-volt power outlet, driver-position memory settings and satellite radio. Choose the Citadel, and standard equipment includes xenon headlights, automatic high beams, automatic wipers, upgraded brakes, front parking sensors, roof-rail crossbars, a sunroof, a cargo cover, upgraded leather upholstery, additional leather trim, a power-adjustable steering column, the Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen interface, a navigation system, a power-adjustable passenger seat, ventilated front seats, and a nine-speaker audio system with a subwoofer and HD radio. An optional Anodized Platinum appearance package adds upgraded leather upholstery with silver accent stitching and special interior trim. The high performance R/T gets the 5.7-liter V8 engine (360 hp) as standard, an upgraded steering system, a sport-tuned suspension, a performance hood design, LED foglights, red accent stitching and a Beats audio system. The Citadel's standard roof rails and sunroof are optional. The 5.7-liter V8 is also optional for the Citadel. |

| The hood and oh-so-brawny frame, along with its overall power, put this in a category of its own. Don't listen to others that rank this in a "Large SUV" category. It has to go into its own category; it's too super dominant. The interior, while monochromatic black-with-dash-of-white-stitching, is plush. Oversized moonroof provides multi-option views. | Looks like what it is. A tough, muscled, upright, big as all-get out, full sized sport utility vehicle that uses the pretty stock standard profile that you see on most vehicles of its ilk. Inside, the plush, rugged looking but entirely comfortable leather seating is of a high quality and design. No short cuts. |
