Performance | |
Smooth 3.6 Liter engine 295 horse V6, nine speed automatic transmission on this Limited upgrade. Not top rated for handling and an overall ride. | About average, perhaps a bit better. Handles pretty well and moves with ease and assurance; no big bad surprises here. |
Fuel Economy | |
23 miles overall with 19 city and 32 highway. | Fuel economy is rated at 19 city, 32 highway and 23 overall. You spend $750 more in fuel costs over five years compared with other new vehicles. |
The Car | |
The 200 and the Limited are really a terrific value. In a crowded space, there is a lot to talk about starting with a tech and safety package, and an All Wheel Drive option and oversize trunk. All "checks." The 200 is a very quiet vehicle and we really loved that aspect. Check. Upscale cabin and materials, heated steering wheel, and Leather seats, all checks. The exterior and interior are highly attractive, check. But the back registers as smaller compared to competitors - clearly a drawback for families. Reliability concerns have been problematic and have cut into sales over the years. |
Sad news to share. The 200 Limited is going the way of Plymouth and Desoto, soon to disappear from the lineup. What a shame. It's good looking, a real value for the money, and has a really nice interior. The cutthroat atmosphere of the intermediate family sedan probably did this car in because Chrysler could not sell nearly enough of them to make it profitable. The star of the 200's show is its Uconnect audio/entertainment/climate control system - hands down, the best in the business. We are talking about jumping in the car, setting up Bluetooth and just about everything else in way less than a minute's time. No fuss, no muss, no hassle. We also liked the quiet, reassuring ride and pretty good handling of the 200, too. You won't find your feathers ruffled by a lot of interior noise, bouncy ride or quarrelsome suspension, brakes and handling. |

Technology | |
Blue Tooth, Satellite Radio, USB port, Voice Recognition, 8.4" touch screen UConnect™ Infotainment System, Heated Side Mirrors, Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel, Dual-zone Climate control for personalized comfort, panoramic power sunroof, 9 speaker kick stereo system. | Standard features include stability control and traction control, antilock brakes, electric parking brake, power windows, tilt/telescopic steering column, automatic headlamps, electric power steering, security alarm, cruise control, rear window defroster, Uconnect with integrated Voice Command. |
Aesthetics & Styling | |
Attractive looking car inside and out. Using hi-end materials to bolster the senses. Backseat space is small compared to Chevy Malibu, Nissan Altima and Honda Accord, which is unfortunate for the 200. | Very much a good looking car in the currently popular semi-fastback four door "coupe" look for sedans, but it does compromise headroom and visibility. |
