| After a week of driving the luxurious Lincoln MKX, we fully experienced its 3.7 liter V6 Ecoboost engine with 303 powerful horsepower. The drive handles smoothly and elegantly. It's a breeze suiting up and a refined cruiser once started. | Our MKX was powered by a turbocharged 2.7 liter V-6 that puts out 335 horses. Driving the MKX, we felt swathed in comfort, with nary a worry in the world. The sense of isolation from noise and outside conditions was simply astounding, and very much in the Lexus class, to our view. And we loved the hands-free system for the hatch, especially in rain. Thanks to an adjustable suspension system, the MKX handles just about all road conditions like a champ. |

| Built on the platform of the popular Ford Edge, the updated MKX is quiet, luxurious and powerful. Front wheel drive is standard, but All Wheel Drive is available. Comes with three driving modes - normal, sport and comfort - and all have their reason to be. We like the push button transmission controls and how it saves space and the ease of use; although noted at twice it took more than a second to register. For the long run the MKX is a top choice with built-in massage features to both drivers and passenger seats; love the cool and heated choices. The panoramic sunroof extends over both rows of seating. Now while that feature is great for seeing beyond, OEM's need to talk about the exact covering they are using on the glass to protect passengers - young and all passengers - from the sun's rays! Other terrific features include the car brings itself back when you cross over a yellow lane, will auto park with parallel and perpendicular locations, and the rear view camera gives you a great 360 point of view and perspective. The rear seats have a 60/40 split for convenient configuring and hands-free liftgate is standard. And, so much more. We are thrilled to give Lincoln a real nod in consumer excellence. SThe all-new 2016 Lincoln MKX embodies the brand to a T. It is contemporary--and gorgeous in its understatement. It seems to glide by regally as you see it pass through. And you just know when you see it, it is obvious it belongs among the moneyed, well mannered gracious set. It shares its platform and basic body form to Ford's Edge, but this is a whole different product from stem to stern. The interior, which you reach after seeing the Lincoln star projected on the sidewalk at night, is well-done and luxurious but it is anything but showy. If you are looking for glitz and geegaws, well....there's a few other luxury brands out there that might suit you better. |
