The Car | |
This brand has a very high loyolty among its fan base with most vehicles on the road for over 10 years. Not the most stylish of vehicles, but rather, reliable, performance based, and value added machines. Simply, count-on-able. It all starts with the smaller of the SUV's, the Forester, which continues to be a best buy. | I love the Forester. It has an airy, spacious interior that's drenched with sunlight from the huge moonroof, a solid, capable feel to it, and it's still the fcar to beat for off road activity. And it's got charisma, a huge fan base and events calendar for social types. Still a buy--but better get a new one underway fast in this competitive environment. |

Technology | |
Navigation system, panoramic powered moon roof, Remote keyless entry, heated seats 3 12V outlets in car, Bluetooth for Hands Free carrying, 10 way power seating on driver's side and heated exterior mirrors. | Tom-Tom navigatioin system, 2.5 liter horizontally opposed engine, multi function center console box, panoramic power moonroof , etc. |
Aesthetics & Styling | |
The Forester is a great buy and like much of the Subaru line up ?? while updated ?? the design language lacks real teeth and girth. Too vanilla, and easily can get lost in the mass of others in this category. The interior dash is laid out well and good organization from front to trunk. | The Forester is a handsome, well-done small SUV, and although the design is only a few years old, it's already being passed up by the dynamite looking Chevy Equinox, the dramatic looking Ford Escape replacement coming next year, and the really dynamite looking Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson. The message: Subaru--better get a freshening or replacement out, or the Forester will soon be lost. |

Three years/36,000 mile limited warranty doesn't cut it these days. Needs lengthening. Five year, 60,000 mile limited powertrain warranty is a bit better. |
