This coupe is designed with 3.7 Liter DOHC 24 Valve VVEL V-6 Engine, 270 ft lbs of torque and 330 ever so powerful horsepower.
The ATTESA E-TS All-Wheel Drive System with Snow Mode7-Speed Automatic Transmission with Drive (DS) Sport Mode and the Manual Shift Mode with Rev Matching Technology provides the driver(s) with ample versatility. Due to climate and timing of test drive, I did not use the Snow Mode. Performance is the perfect word to describe the G37X, as the vehicle worked well, each time on the road. Consistency, extraordinary design, appealing craftsmanship and power all combine to deliver a commanding and punctual showing. Tremendous speed and acceleration, coupled with sturdy and responsive handling, deliver an enjoyable and safe - oh, did, I say 'fun'?-drive! |

Torque ATTESA E-TS All-Wheel Drive System with Snow Mode 7-Speed Automatic Transmission with Drive (DS) Sport Mode Manual Shift Mode with Rev Matching Technology Front and Rear Stabilizer Bars Dual Flow Path Shock Absorbers Vehicle Speed-Sensitive Power Steering Fast...really fast, that's what this car is. It's so fast in fact, that when pulling on the parkway, I put the pedal to the medal, and in 5 seconds I was going...well, WAY over the speed limit. This car is made for speed with its' light weight and excessive horsepower. Not only is this new Infiniti capable off the line, it also handles like a dream. The fat tires, front and rear stabilizer bars, and dual flow shocks make for a fun drive. Hit the corners as fast as you want, this car can take the heat. Switch the ESC off if you want to hear the tires squeal...just be careful. |

The Car | |
This car is attractive from the inside out. Seamless exterior lines from the front - starting with the attractive grill, extended headlights to the soft rounded top, and moon roof, all the way back to rear. All aspects, sides and angles are congruous and clean.
The interior is eye catching and smart. Just like all Infiniti's, it showcases the plush luxurious leather seating, heated and cooled for the front passengers; and a lumbar support assists for longer trips. Controls and gauges are all well sizes, placed and provide for ease of reading and reach. Still have the analog and digital clock in Infiniti dash--- just like my old I35. (Was there an over-buy on these clocks?) Cool colors compliment well with mahogany wood, carpet color works well as an extension of interior shades. As with any coupe, it's a very comfortable ride for front seat passengers, and those in the backseat will still have a high degree of comfort, however, their visibility is impacted by lower seat position and smaller side windows. Back seat arm rest folds down with integrated cup holders and open storage section. Limited rear window visibly is an issue for driver. Infiniti designer team did a better-than-most-job by lowering the seats to such a degree while integrating the head restraints into the seat (versus having them be on top of seat.) |
The interior of the G37 isn't spacious, but every button, seat, and material has been placed about with careful thought. The gauges are clear, and easily visible. All of the controls are placed within reach, and easily identifiable. One note: there are so many buttons and technology; it does take some time to get used to their functions. There are a few cup holders here and there, but nothing that isn't completely necessary -- this is a driver's car after all. The ride is comfortable, but not soft. Leg room is satisfactory, but don't even think about putting anything other than a few small suitcases in the trunk.
The 8-way power heated seats with lumbar support are firm, and supple. |

Aesthetics & Styling | |
Beauty and power map onto each other in this luxurious powerful car. Very affordable compared to its Euro and German competitors, this vehicle is a great buy | This is one of the best looking cars on the road. The Zero-Lift aerodynamics, flared fenders, large tires, chrome front grille, and chrome tipped exhaust tips make this look like a true European sports car. The lines on the G37 Coupe flow effortlessly, making breaks in the sheet metal barely noticeable. The interior is as contemporary as the outside, with polished surfaces, and smooth, aesthetically-pleasing lighting and shapes. |
